Don't even think of installing solar panels until you have talked to Eric at PacSolar. From the beginning he was clear, informative and accurate. He gave me a price over a year prior to our remodel and ended up doing the job for less. He answers the phone, comes out and deals with you directly and gets on the roof with his excellent crew. We just got solar installed by Pac Solar and it was a very smooth and easy process from start to finish. Eric is meticulous in his attention to detail and was able to educate us on all of our options and design the most logical system for our needs. After our first meeting he provided a proposal about one week later and when I researched the panels and inverters that he uses I learned that they are the best ones available on the market which was good to see. He isn't trying to save $ by using cheap materials. Pac Solar is a local San Rafael owned and operated company that stands behind their work - it is comforting to know that if anything ever does go wrong with our system, Eric will be notified via email from the monitoring system, and he will be there to fix it. We are thrilled to have joined the clean energy revolution, and our system will have paid for itself within 5 years.

Pac Solar did a phenomenal job with our home solar installation. My family and I have been interested in having solar installed for a while. After a few quotes and terrible pushy sales calls we put the project and idea of solar on hold. We then received a recommendation to try Eric Miller at Pac Solar. I got 5 or 6 estimates for a solar installation at my home. Eric Miller from Pac Solar was by far the most knowledgeable and most professional of the bunch. He took a lot of time to explain how solar works, design an appropriately sized system for our needs and took care of coordination with the roofing company. He also took care of all the required communication with PG&E. He was very responsive to phone calls and he was very punctual in meetings and the installation process. I highly recommend Pac Solar if you are looking to install a solar system.

When we decided to finally get solar panels for our house I contacted several different agencies, dreading the search knowing how fast the industry is moving and possibility of disreputable companies. I settled on three bids, two larger businesses that advertise in the paper and Pac Solar, a company local to my area. Whereas the larger companies did everything by phone based on a satellite photo of my house, Eric Miller, President of Pac Solar, came over personally to my house, inspected my roof and walked around the site. He reviewed my electric bill and helped me decide on the proper number of panels and the type of inverter. He showed us the special devices to protect the roof with the installation. He reviewed details of the tax rebate. Whereas the other companies demanded the panels to be tilted on metal frameworks: Eric understood my concern for aesthetics to place them flat on my roof and designed the system to still generate the appropriate power. He took care of all the things I never thought about: permits, coordination of inspections and utility interconnection documents. His charge was the average of the three bids. At my convenience, the work was started within a couple of weeks of signing documents and it took less than two days to install. The work was quick, professional and tidy. After installation and we were on the grid, Eric came by and spent over an hour to explain everything about the system. I would highly recommend Pac Solar

Pac Solar has been awesome. Why? * The Right Price. I talked to and got bids from several other companies, and Pac Solar made a ton of financial sense. We ended up buying a small system with microprocessors. We've been saving money from Day 1 and will have it paid off long before I would have thought likely for us. * Easy. I worked with Eric throughout, and everything has been super smooth: meetings where I could ask all the questions I wanted on days and at hours that worked for me, scheduling of work and follow-up, and county and power company paperwork. The installation was super quick, and I can track the power hour by hour online by computer or phone. * Professional. Everything has been done in a professional, thorough way. I always felt that Eric was working hard, not as a hustle, but to make solar possible and to have us feel like we were getting a good system that we also understood. At the end we got a complete binder of paperwork and an offer of a follow-up meeting down the line to evaluate how the system has been running and how to interpret savings. We've wanted to get solar for a long time, and it's been fantastic having the process end up being so great. It's also been a plus to support a local company.
